Bell team members have been getting together every summer to play ball since 1964. The Marcel Vincent Tournament, named after a Bell Canada president, started as a fast-pitch event, and moved to slo-pitch in 1986. After almost 50 years, Bell team members, pensioners and partners continue to enjoy the tradition and get together every August.

2026 Tournament

The Marcel Vincent Softball Tournament brings together Bell team members from across the country from Friday, June 19 to Saturday, June 20. Register before March 31, 2026.

FAQ

Entry fee $500.00 per team – payable by e-transfer or cheque/money order.
Travel, hotel and registration costs will be at the players’ expense.

We encourage players without a team to register and we will attempt to find a team for you to play on.  Please contact The Marcel Vincent Tournament at mvtinbox@gmail.com  to get your name on the list, include choice of co-ed or men’s division.

Standard Slo-Pitch equipment is required:
  • Glove
  • Bat – regulation bat as per current Slo-Pitch rules
  • Helmet – (Optional)

All levels from beginner to advanced are encouraged to participate.

Yes, eligibility includes Bell affiliate companies.

No.  Players can only be registered on one team.

Player / Team Eligibility Criteria (updated 2023)

  • You must be a current or retired BCE employee to play.  Contractors are not eligible.
  • Exceptions: External vendor partners that have participated in previous years are eligible to play.
  • 10-15 players/support per team
  • $500 team registration fee
