Sidney Crosby donates gold medal winnings to charity -
Bell Canada matches donation to the Sidney Crosby Foundation

VANCOUVER, March 10 2010 -- Sidney Crosby, Assistant Captain of the Canadian
Men's Olympic HockeyTeam, today announced that he would donate the proceeds from
his winning gold medal to theSidney Crosby Foundation. The
Foundation, created in his home province ofNova Scotia in 2009, is committed to
providing financial support to charities that are beneficial tothe community as a whole,
specifically charities benefitting children.


About the donation, Sidney Crosby said: "I started the foundation in2009 with the hope
that I would be able to give back to local communities like the one that I grewup in.
Winning gold in Canada at the 2010 Winter Games has been aphenomenal experience.
I want to be able to give back to local organizations so that other youngpeople have the
opportunity to reach for their dreams as well."


Bell Canada, a Premier National Partner and the exclusiveTelecommunications Provider
to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic andParalympic Winter Games, will match Mr. Crosby's
donation of$20,000.
