Bell partners with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec to deliver new employment portal
New website will facilitate recruitment of Québec engineers

MONTRÉAL, March 9, 2011   – Today, Bell and the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) announced a web portal – emplois.oiq.qc.ca – to be used exclusively for posting specialized engineering positions to recruit from the OIQ’s pool of 60,000 highly qualified members.

Integrated into the existing OIQ website, the employment portal will serve as an intermediary between employers and engineers. “With the current shortage of engineering resources, it is becoming ever more important for companies to quickly find the right candidates for critical positions,” said OIQ president Maud Cohen.

Designed by Bell in collaboration with Technomedia Training, the new portal was tailored to the OIQ’s specific needs.

“Bell’s expertise in human capital management allows us to provide our clients with turnkey solutions that require no technology acquisitions – we take care of everything from development to hosting and customer support,” said Stéphane Boisvert, President of Bell Business Markets. “This way, we can help organizations rise to their human resources planning and staff development challenges more efficiently.”

The portal is part of a larger project aimed at managing the professional development of both OIQ employees and Québec engineers.
