Bell Let’s Talk

Bell Let's Talk was launched in September 2010 as a 5-year program with a $50 million initial donation from Bell and a commitment to grow its funding based on engagement on Bell Let's Talk Day, when Canadians are encouraged to talk, text and interact on social media to help end the stigma of mental illness that keeps so many from the getting the care they need.

With Bell donating 5 cents to Canadian mental health programs for each interaction on the annual Bell Let’s Talk Day since 2011, Bell’s total funding commitment for Canadian mental health now stands at $100,695,763.75.

Focused on 4 key action pillars – anti-stigma, care and access, research and workplace Leadership – Bell Let's Talk has partnered with more than 900 organizations providing mental health services throughout Canada, including major donations to hospitals, universities and other care and research organizations.

New partnerships announced in 2019 include Strongest Families Institute in Manitoba, the Université du Québec à Montréal, Ottawa’s Youth Services Bureau and CHEO3 Montréal organizations working with the homeless and Winnipeg’s Bear Clan Patrol and Behavioural Health Foundation, with more to come.
