    TORONTO,Aug. 16 2005 --
On April 12, 1980, Terry Fox set out on a
marathon of hope to raise money for cancer research; by the end of the run, he
managed to raise the spirit of an entire nation. TERRY is his story. A
testament to the notion that one person can make a difference in the world,
Fox's heroic Marathon of Hope journey is retold in CTV's Original Movie,
TERRY, premiering Sunday, September 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. ET and in High
Definition on CTV HD East and CTV HD West (check local listings). The two-hour
film, which recounts Terry's 3,339 mile run, stars Canadian actor Shawn
Ashmore (X2: X-Men United) with a performance that encapsulates the spirit of
Terry Fox.

The September 11 broadcast is timely as it highlights Terry Fox's
remarkable story just as schools across Canada prepare to mark the 25th
Anniversary of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope on September 16 with The National
School Run Day. In addition, Canada and countries around the world will honour
his memory as they participate in Terry Fox Runs this September.
