Launch: Women in Motion: "Step up and lead: a millenium mentorship program"
Bell Canada - Founding Sponsor Women in Motion continues its tradition of excellence in leading edge, motivational career programs for youth with the launch of "STEP UP AND LEAD: A MILLENIUM MENTORSHIP PROGRAM" TORONTO, Jan. 24 /CNW/ - Women in Motion is the largest student career conference organization in Ontario having presented 30 conferences and events and outreached more than 16000 students in the past 23 months. Women in Motion is a non-profit incorporated organization with in-kind offices situated in Toronto at Yonge and Bloor in the Chartered Accountants of Ontario building. This exciting new initiative will link up 50 of the top senior female students from both the Toronto Catholic and Toronto District Schools Boards with dynamic female leaders in the work force. We acknowledge Bell Canada who has "stepped up" as the founding sponsor of this exciting initiative! Students will participate in a facilitated mentorship program with their mentors that focuses on leadership development. The program is held over a 4 month period during which 3 motivational breakfast events will be held to facilitate the development of a meaningful relationship. Mentors and students will use email and an electronic bulletin board for communication purposes and to reinforced the importance of technology in the workforce. The Official Program Launch: February 2, 2000 from 6-8pm. Royal Bank at 200 Bay Street on the 40th Floor, South Tower at the corner of Bay and Front Streets in Toronto. Over 200 people will be in attendance including students, parents, mentors, educators, the Women in Motion Mentorship Committee and other invited guests.
