CTV Celebrates Pride Week with Debut of My Own Private Oshawa, June 25

-- Gay coming-of-age comedy stars Jonathan Wilson --

    TORONTO, June 20 2005 --
On the eve of gay pride parades across the
continent this coming Sunday, CTV premieres the award-winning, gay
coming-of-age, comedic movie My Own Private Oshawa, on Saturday, June 25 at
9 p.m. ET (check local listings). Written by and starring Jonathan Wilson, My
Own Private Oshawa is a touching and funny theatrical film, based on the hit
play of the same name.

Winner of the Columbus International Film and Video Festival, My Own
Private Oshawa is set in the late 1970s in the blue collar environment of
Oshawa, Ontario. The semi-autobiographical, two-hour movie features Wilson
playing himself as a confused high school student. Not unlike many teenagers,
Jonathan feels like a misfit. As he struggles with his own identity, he meets
a brand new student, the flamboyantly gay Gordon, who not only helps Jonathan
come to grips with his own sexuality, but also teaches him to embrace life and
feel good about himself.
