With one week until Bell Let's Talk Day, we thank our partners for joining in the mental health conversation

MONTRÉAL, Jan. 18, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - With one week until Bell Let's Talk Day on Wednesday, January 25, support continues to grow across the country with more Canadian organizations helping to promote the national mental health conversation.

"We thank these great Canadian organizations for putting their voices and brands to work for mental health and our collective effort to build a country free of the stigma around mental illness," said Clara Hughes, national spokesperson for Bell Let's Talk. "It is such a powerful message of support for everyone who struggles and for their families, friends and colleagues. We invite you to join us as we get ready for the best Bell Let's Talk Day yet!"

Each year, hundreds of Bell Let's Talk community and mental health partners spread the word about Bell Let's Talk Day through events, newsletters and social media. Students and faculty at Canadian universities and colleges hold awareness sessions and this year, student-athletes across the country are speaking up nationwide for mental health.

A growing list of leading Canadian media and other corporations, government at all levels, sports teams, unions, business associations and Bell partners and competitors also step up to help grow the mental health conversation.

With this support, the Bell Let's Talk message reaches more Canadians every year through additional TV, radio, newspaper, out-of-home, digital and cinema advertising, rink boards at major sports arenas, and a range of events and online efforts promoting mental health.

  • Snapchat: Every use of the Bell Let's Talk Snapchat geofilter

Bell Let's Talk Day 2016 set new records for engagement with 125.9 million messages of support, and Bell increased its funding for Canadian mental health by $6,295,764.75.
