General questions

Purchasing - Selling shares

Under normal circumstances, shares can only be purchased and sold through brokerage firms (brokers). Hence, registered shareholders, holders of share certificates, will present their certificates to a broker if they wish to sell their shares. To purchase shares, any individuals will present their purchase requests to the broker of their choice.

However, registered shareholders enrolled in the Dividend reinvestment and stock purchase plan (Plan) can purchase shares without commissions and sell the shares within the Plan at preferred rates of commission.

For more information on how to enroll, or to purchase or sell shares within the Plan, contact its administrator, AST Trust Company (Canada) (AST).
