BEING THERE FOR KIDS

We believe the future of our country rests on helping our children and youth to reach their full potential. That’s why we choose to focus our support on organizations that help children and youth grow up strong and healthy. Organizations like Kids Help Phone.  Since 2002, the Walk for Kids Help Phone has helped raise over $18 million.  Every dollar raised goes directly to Kids Help Phone to help kids in thousands of communities in every part of the country.

A SPIRIT OF GIVING

Bell people are actively engaged in our communities. In addition to giving time and money to worthy causes, many of our employees are playing leadership roles, mobilizing themselves and others by getting involved. Bell encourages community involvement through internal campaigns, volunteer grants, payroll and credit card deductions, and organizing volunteer teams.


QUICK FACTS

  • $20.5 million invested in 2008 to help build strong and vibrant communities
  • $2.1 million donated by BCE employees and retirees in 2008 to United Way/Centraide and other charities across the country
  • 441,500 volunteer hours provided by BCE employees and retirees to more than 800 non-profit community organizations. That’s equivalent to a full year’s work by about 250 people.
