Bell Mobility's newest superphone - the first device in Canada featuring the latest HTC Sense with HTC Watch™ - is a super-fast, super-powerful mobile entertainment masterpiece capable of delivering HD content at home or on-the-go.

TORONTO and MONTRÉAL, June 16, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - HTC and Bell today announced the upcoming Canadian launch of Bell Mobility's newest superphone, the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) powered HTC Sensation 4G, on Canada's best network. The first mobile device in Canada to feature the newest version of HTC Sense with HTC Watch, the HTC Sensation 4G delivers mobile entertainment with download speeds up to 14.4 megabits per second (Mbps), powerful dual-core processing, an immersive 4.3" qHD display and true 1080p HD quality video capture and output.

"Smartphones have become portable, pocket-sized entertainment centres that enable people to create, or take their favourite multimedia content with them wherever they go," said Rick Babington, Executive Director HTC Canada. "The HTC Sensation 4G combines the great multimedia experience of the new HTC Watch service that makes accessing premium movies and TV shows fun and easy with the enhanced HTC Sense interface and packages it all in a beautiful aluminum unibody design for a premium look and feel."

"Superphones work best on the best network - faster downloading, better multitasking, more reliable video streaming - and Bell is committed to offering Canadians the best selection of these powerful devices," said Adel Bazerghi, Senior Vice President of Products at Bell Mobility. "Expanding our superphone portfolio with the impressive HTC Sensation 4G, a mobile entertainment masterpiece, underscores Bell's leadership in this exciting new smartphone category."

HTC Watch and Bell Mobile TV
HTC Watch is an all new mobile video service allowing customers to rent or buy blockbuster movies when connected to Wi-Fi.  HTC Watch quickly buffers videos so users can begin viewing without having to wait for the whole file to completely download. And with its 4.3" qHD cinematic display, the HTC Sensation 4G delivers a truly immersive viewing experience.

Proving a huge hit over the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Bell Mobile TV service, now featuring expanded content from Bell Media including simultaneous broadcast of CTV News Channel, TSN, RDS and other top brands in Canadian news, sports and entertainment, delivers live and on-demand access to some of the most popular programming available on mobile. Alongside an industry leading sports line-up including major league hockey, football, cricket and soccer, Bell Mobile TV also offers content from the Comedy Network, CBC Newsworld, YTV, Treehouse and much more.

The latest HTC Sense experience
The HTC Sensation 4G is HTC's first mobile device to include the newly revamped, user friendly HTC Sense for an exceptionally customizable experience. In addition to HTC Watch, newly added features include 'active lockscreen' which allows customization of the lockscreens with up to the minute social updates, weather or stock feeds.  Active lockscreen also contains customizable shortcuts to favorite apps for quick access.

Super-specs
Equipped with a 1.2Mhz dual-core processor, customers will enjoy a fast and smooth experience when running apps, playing games, multitasking or simply navigating the HTC Sensation 4G. And 4G speeds up to 14.4 Mbps means better browsing and the ability to download apps and attachments in moments.

The HTC Sensation 4G superphone is also Bell's first device that allows customers to record and playback video in stunning 1080p full HD to a TV via MHL/HDMI cable or wirelessly with DLNA. And watching video on the HTC Sensation 4G will be vibrant and sharp thanks to its 4.3" qHD display with true widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio.

Other impressive specs include an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, auto-focus and face detection software, built-in dual-microphones for noise cancellation and tri-band HSDPA support (850/1900/2100) for high-speed data access globally.

The HTC Sensation 4G superphone will be available from Bell on Canada's best network in the coming weeks. For more information and to pre-register for updates, please visit Bell.ca/Sensation.
