In the season premiere, the citizens of South Park are confronted with
the challenges the world now finds common: threats of hi-jacking, bio-
terrorism and Afghani goats. Filled with American spirit, Stan, Kyle, Kenny
and Cartman send one dollar each to children in Afghanistan. When they receive
a package from the kids they sent their money to, personnel from every
government agency descends upon South Park to investigate.
The mysterious contents of the package lead the boys to Afghanistan. When
the Taliban captures them, they pretend they are Canadian and talk with
Canadian accents to hasten their release. Ultimately, in a hilarious Looney
Toons-esque segment, Cartman squares off with Osama bin Laden and exposes the
terrorist's motives.
In the season's second episode, (January 4), the word "shit" is said 162
times, officially calculated by an on-screen shitometer. When shit is
broadcast on television for the first time, it becomes officially okay to say
the word, triggering a chain of events that threaten the world as we know it.
Kyle is convinced that the curse word actually is a cursed word and is
responsible for unexplained deaths across the country.
Meanwhile, television network HBC continues to promote shit with its
"Must Shit TV" line-up, ultimately leading up to a "Night of a Million Shits."
Kyle and the boys enlist the help of the Knights of Standards and Practices
and 162 shits later, save the world by ensuring that bad words are kept to a
minimum.
