Dennis Dunlop Appointed VP and General Manager, CTV Saskatchewan TORONTO,Nov. 28 2001 --Trina McQueen, President and Chief Operating
Officer of CTV Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis Dunlop
as Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Saskatchewan, effective December 1.
In this role, he is responsible for the operation and administration of CTV
Saskatchewan stations, which include: CFQC Saskatoon, CKCK Regina, CICC/CKOS
Yorkton and CIPA/CKBI Prince Albert.
"This is the first time that all CTV stations in Saskatchewan have been
brought together under common management. Dennis Dunlop's commitment to
Saskatchewan and his knowledge of the province will ensure that CTV's stations
maintain and enhance their role as leaders in their communities," said Mrs.
McQueen. "CTV has the greatest respect for Dennis' achievements so far and we
look forward to his future successes."
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Dunlop was Vice-President and General
Manager of CKCK Regina and CICC/CKOS Yorkton. In March 2001, he was given the
additional responsibility of General Sales Manager for CTV Saskatchewan, a
position he will retain.
During Mr. Dunlop's 20 years in broadcasting, he has held numerous
positions including: General Manager and General Sales Manager at CIPA/CKBI
Prince Albert and CICC/CKOS Yorkton (August 1997 - November 1998); General
Manager, CIPA/CKBI Prince Albert (1991); and General Sales Manager, CIPA/CKBI
Prince Albert (1987). He began his career as a marketing consultant in 1981 at
CKBI Prince Albert.
Mr. Dunlop said: "I am pleased to have the opportunity of ensuring that
our Saskatchewan CTV stations remain a vital part of the social fabric of the
communities we serve."
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Mr. Dunlop has been involved with
various community organizations, including Prince Albert Tourism, the
Saskatchewan Roughrider "Defend Our Turf" campaign, and the Saskatchewan
Science Centre. He is Past President of the Saskatchewan Association of
Broadcasters and is currently Vice-President of the Western Association of
Broadcasters.
