    - French edition of workopolis.com to launch in fall -

MONTREAL,July 24 2001 --Bell Globemedia Interactive, a division of Bell
Globemedia Inc. (Canada's premier multi-media company), and Gesca Ltd., the

today announced their intent to create a new venture that will market
Workopolis products and services to Quebec recruiters and job seekers. The new
venture will bring together the best capabilities in electronic recruiting
(e-cruiting) with the most significant media resources in the province.
    The venture will have an office in Montreal and a dedicated sales and
support staff will address the needs of Quebec recruiters.
    A French edition of workopolis.com will launch in mid-September with all
the tools and features that have made workopolis.com the leading on-line job
site in Canada. Visitors may access the site directly at workopolis.com or
through Gesca newspapers' Web site, cyberpresse.ca. Job seekers will find
Quebec's biggest job site with all the jobs advertised in La Presse, Le
Soleil, and Gesca's other newspapers (Le Nouvelliste, Le Droit, La Tribune, Le
Quotidien, and La Voix de l'Est), along with thousands more jobs from
workopolis.com.
    Workopolis' E-Cruiting Solutions, including CorporateWorks(TM), will be
automatically available in either language. Its complete corporate recruiting
solution, and the ScreeningRoom(TM) tools, will have all the market leading
features of the English Web-based services.
