first over-all, from Metropolis...Superman?
    More than 1,500 visitors to TSN's website, tsn.ca, have been scared silly
in the first-ever TSN Halloween sports poll.
    An overwhelming 54 per cent of on-line visitors chose the Man of Steel as

    Fans also said their biggest sports "nightmare" would be ex-CFLer Doug
Flutie leading the Buffalo Bills to the Super Bowl -- only to be benched
before the game (34 per cent).
    Other options included Nashville defeating Atlanta for the Stanley Cup
(26 per cent) and the Toronto Argos re-hiring coach John Huard (10 per cent).
    Fans chose Jevon "The Freak" Kearse as the "scariest" sports nickname (32
per cent), Batman edged Patrick Roy as the best "Masked Man" ever (21 per cent
to 19 per cent) and the L.A. Clippers and Boston Red Sox (31 per cent) were
teams fans thought were victims of an "evil spell."

    Other spooky results from the poll:
    - Best sports nickname with Halloween theme: Purple People Eaters (40 per
      cent);
    - Best sports team name with Halloween theme: New Jersey Devils (32 per
      cent);
    - Athlete you'd least want to share your Halloween candy with: Any member
      of the U.S. 4 x 100 metre relay team (43 per cent);
    - Athlete Count Dracula would want to sink his teeth into: Anna
      Kournikova (88 per cent);
    - Athlete Mike Tyson would want to sink his teeth into: Evander Holyfield
      (41 per cent);
