TORONTO,May 12 2000 --Suzanne Steeves today announced that she has
resigned as Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the CTV Sports Group.
    "Suzanne has packed several brilliant careers into her five years at
Baton and CTV. She began as Baton's head of Entertainment in-house production,
and moved on to become an integral player on the team that successfully
implemented Baton's specialty service strategy. As well, she played a key role
in the application for Vancouver's newest conventional station, VTV," said
Trina McQueen, Executive Vice-President of CTV Inc. "We understand that her
personal life is her priority now; and her legion of fans and friends at CTV
wish her well in her new life, or, considering Suzanne's energy, her new
lives," added McQueen.
    "These past five years have been the most challenging and rewarding of my
career. I have had the pleasure of working with the best and the brightest in
the industry and together we have had some great successes. I am looking
forward to taking some time for myself, and getting ready for the next episode
of what has so far been a great adventure," said Ms. Steeves.
    In her role as head of the CTV Sports Group, Ms. Steeves oversaw the
programming of sporting events on The CTV Network, Canada's pre-eminent
national broadcaster; Sportsnet, Canada's first regional sports specialty
channel; and Canada's adventure destination, the Outdoor Life Network.
    Since her appointment in November 1997, she was part of the team that
acquired some of Canada's most-sought-after sports programs including NHL
cable rights, Blue Jays Baseball, and PGA TOUR events.
    Most recently, Ms. Steeves oversaw the launch of CTV Sportsnet.com, a Web
site providing high-quality video streaming and interactive content that
complements Sportsnet's programming and offers live Webcasts, chats with
sports celebrities, as well as scores, statistics and standings.
