TORONTO, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Bell ExpressVu LP, Canada's leading satellite TV
company and 5th largest broadcast distributor, announced today's launch of
TalkTV to its national digital TV service.
    Bell ExpressVu customers who currently subscribe to any of Bell
ExpressVu's programming packages can enjoy a free preview of TalkTV for a
limited time, until November 30, 2000.
    TalkTV is an English language specialty network owned by CTV that will
run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Talk TV's programming will feature a
variety of hosts covering a range of topics including, politics, business,
relationships, technology, entertainment and sports.
    Following the free preview period, customers who subscribe to "Variety",
"Deluxe", "The Works" or "Le Méga Combo" programming packages will receive
TalkTV at no additional charge.
    "This is one more example of Bell ExpressVu's commitment to expanding its
programming line-up, giving our subscribers more choice," said David McLennan,

    This new network is available to subscribers across the country, in
addition to the more than 200 video and music channels Bell ExpressVu already
offers, including Vu!, its own Pay-per-View service with both French and
English programming.
    With more than 500,000 subscribers, Bell ExpressVu is the only digital
satellite television company in Canada that broadcasts to an 18-inch dish -
the smallest in Canada. The company also offers the largest programming line-
up currently available nationwide.
