1 million transactions anticipated in the first year

BCE Emergis Inc. announced today the signing of a three-year
contract with PSiGate, a leading provider of interactive gateway
services for real-time payment collection and financial
transaction processing. BCE Emergis will provide a bank-neutral,
secure back-end payment processing service, allowing PSiGate to
sell their solution to all merchants, regardless of the bank they
use. 

Payment Services Interactive Gateway Inc. (PSiGate) provides
merchants with the necessary tools to facilitate the processing
of electronic transactions. The PSiGate payment module allows the
customer to receive almost instant notification that a
transaction has been processed because it communicates with
Canadian card processors in real time. Their merchant solution
uses SSL encryption and allows transactions to be processed via
the Internet securely. Multiple transactions can be processed at
the same time, thereby allowing PSiGate to support multiple
clients with several transactions in flight.
