Bell Canada - Clarifications on Sympatico Internet access service

    MONTREAL, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - Bell Canada would like to inform its Bell
Sympatico(TM) subscribers that they are in no way affected by the situation
reported by the media this morning concerning Télébec's Lino Internet access
service.
    The Sympatico banner is used by a number of Canadian telecommunications
companies that provide Internet access service under licence, offering local
Internet access across Canada.
    Bell Canada provides a full range of communications services to
customers, including wired and wireless local and long distance telephone
services, Internet access, high-speed data services and directories.
Bell Canada, its telecom partners and subsidiaries provide services through
13.6 million access lines, including 11 million in Ontario and Québec.
