NBTel Mobility, an Aliant Company, expands Digital Service to Rothesay and Shediac SAINT JOHN, NB, Oct. 31 -- NBTel Mobility customers in Rothesay and
Shediac can now benefit from digital wireless technology, says President of
Aliant Mobility, Roxanne Fairweather. Fairweather announced today the arrival
of digital service in the two communities as part of NBTel Mobility's ongoing
investment in New Brunswick's cellular network.
The two new sites, combined with NBTel's current digital network in
Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton, represent the largest digital coverage
area in New Brunswick. Digital customers experience the next generation of
cellular service that offers all the benefits of traditional cellular service
while incorporating longer battery life, enhanced privacy, better voice
clarity, call display and per second billing on select rate plans.
The company first introduced digital service to Moncton in the fall of
1999 to provide world-class cellular service to the visitors and delegates of
the Francophone Summit. Digital was then introduced this year to Saint John in
June and Fredericton in August.
"Now we're pleased to add Shediac and Rothesay to our expanding network.
NBTel Mobility is the only cellular service provider in New Brunswick capable
of providing customers with a digital service coverage area this expansive,"
says Fairweather. "We made a multi-million dollar investment to ensure our
customers are served with a comprehensive and advanced range of wireless
communications solutions."
NBTel Mobility provides cellular, paging and other mobile communications
services in New Brunswick through more than 125 employees and a network of
about 50 dealers with over 75 locations province-wide. In 1999, NBTel Mobility
celebrated its 10th anniversary of serving New Brunswick.
NBTel Mobility is an Aliant Company (TSE:AIT). The Aliant group of
