Mr. Lumley has been Vice-Chairman of BMO Capital Markets and its predecessor companies since 1991. From 1986 to 1991 Mr. Lumley served as Chair of the Noranda Manufacturing Group of companies. Prior to returning to the private sector; from 1974-1984 Mr. Lumley was a Member of Parliament during which time he held various cabinet portfolios in the Government of Canada, including Minister of Industry, International Trade, Communications and Science and Technology. Mr. Lumley is the Chancellor of the University of Windsor where he graduated a Bachelor of Commerce.
Mr. Lumley is a director on the BCE board since January 2003. He is also Chair of the Pension Fund Committee and a member of the Corporate Governance Committee.
Mr. Lumley is also a director of Bell Canada, Canadian National Railway Company and Dollar-Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc.
