Programming instructions for Bell Business Markets

PRIVATE BRANCH EXCHANGES

Customers are required to change their existing PBX configuration as local calls will now require 10-digit dialing. In most cases, your PBX equipment has already been configured to allow 10-digit dialing for local calls. However, you are responsible for making the necessary verifications and for ensuring your equipment is properly configured both for 10-digit local dialing and the addition of new area codes (e.g. 581, 587, 778).

You may also communicate with your Bell representative or customer support team, to have us proceed with the required changes to your equipment. Please note however that the programming of PBX products and services by Bell will involve additional costs.

NORSTAR PRODUCTS
PRODUCT NAME	CUSTOMER INSTRUCTION
Norstar BCM	Your must reprogram Speed call lists, External call forward destinations, Hot lines or Autodial lines and Selective line redirection from seven-digit local numbers to 10-digit numbers. Automatic Call Distribution (ACD): You must reprogram Link transfer and Line transfer numbers to 10 digits. You may need to reprogram your Outside line indicator (OLI) to include the area code for local calls. For Custom call routing (CCR) and Audio messaging interchange specification (AMIS) features, you must reprogram seven-digit external transfer nodes to 10 digits. Please consult your Norstar or BCM programming guide for detailed instructions on the above features.
Norstar BCM Call Pilot, Norstar Voice Mail	You must reprogram Off premises message notification feature from seven-digit local number to 10-digits. Consult your Call Pilot or BCM Voice Mail Reference Guide for detailed instructions. You must reprogram any external transfers from the automated attendant to 10-digits.
Norstar StartalK, Mini Startalk, Star Talk Flash	You must reprogram Off Premises Message Notification feature from seven-digit local number to 10-digits. Consult your Startalk Reference Guide for detailed instructions.

MERIDIAN AND SUCCESSION
PRODUCT NAME	CUSTOMER INSTRUCTION
Meridian 1/ Succession	You must reprogram External call forwarding, Speed call lists, Autodial numbers and all Hotline numbers from seven-digit local numbers to 10 digits. Automatic call distribution (ACD): You must reprogram all interflow, overflow or night call forwarding features from seven-digit local numbers to 10 digits. Meridian max: Reprogram any seven-digit interflow or network call forwarding numbers to 10 digits. Consult your Meridian 1 or Succession Reference Guide for programming instructions. New flex codes, Call detail recording and Custom call routing: Contact your Bell Service representative to discuss changes.
Meridian Mail /Call Pilot	You must reprogram all Outcalling features (including night call forward) from seven-digit local numbers to 10 digit numbers. Consult your Meridian Mail or Call Pilot Reference Guide for programming instructions.
Symposium, Symposium Express Contact Center 6.0	You must reprogram Emergency treatment, Day and night treatment as well as any External route to command numbers from seven-digit local numbers to 10 digit numbers. Consult your Symposium or Symposium Express Reference Guide for programming instructions.

MITEL

Mitel SX 200 ICP MX CX & Cxi Mitel MN 3300/3340/3100 Mitel SX 2000/SX-200 Analogue & Digital/SX-50/SX-20	For Abbreviated dial, Speed call, Extension Call forward features, you must reprogram seven-digit local numbers to 10 digit numbers. Mitel Mail / Nupoint Mail Mitel Message Server 6510/ Speech Server 6500 / Express Messenger Mitel Voice Processing (VX200 and 800)	Outcalling features: You must reprogram seven-digit local numbers to 10 digit numbers. Consult your Mitel Reference guide for programming instructions

CISCO
PRODUCT NAME	CUSTOMER INSTRUCTION
CISCO Call Manager	You must reprogram Speed call lists, Call forwarding, Autodial/fast dials, and all PLAR lines from seven-digit local numbers to 10 digits. CISCO IPCC Express	You must reprogram all IPCC scripting call forwarding from seven digit local numbers to 10 digits. Consult your CISCO Reference Guide for programming instructions.
CISCO IPCC	Contact your Bell Service representative to discuss changes to IPCC scripting.
CISCO Unity Voice Mail	You must reprogram all Outcalling (Remote notification, Delivery to non-users, Networking, AMIS) features and call transfers from seven-digit local numbers to 10-digit numbers. Consult you CISCO Unity Reference Guide for programming instructions.

AVAYA
PRODUCT NAME	CUSTOMER INSTRUCTION
Overture 250/350	Dialing table: If you have been using the local dialing sequence in menu 6.1 to add a 1, you must remove the 1 from the dialing sequence. Setting the A 1 is required for 10 digit local calls. Local/Long Distance calling area: Menu 5 includes six area-code restriction tables, one for local area codes and five for other area codes. These tables determine whether a number entered by a subscriber is a toll call or toll-free.
Overture 250/350/100, Modular Messaging	You must reprogram all outbound fax numbers, all Mailbox outcalling features, all paging features and all networking nodes from seven digit local numbers to 10 digits.
