Own the Podium 2010

Bell is proud to support Own the Podium 2010, a program which aims to help Canada become the top medal winner at the 2010 Winter Games and the third largest medal winner at the 2010 Paralympic Games. Bell’s support has been directed towards the “Top Secret Program”, which applies research, sport science and innovative technologies to training techniques and sporting equipment. These advances are expected to offer Canadian athletes a competitive advantage heading into the 2010 Winter Games by providing them with technical support that will help them achieve their maximum performance potential.

Speed Skating Canada

Bell is the Premier National Speed Skating Partner for Speed Skating Canada (SSC) and sponsors several of the association’s national and international competitions. Bell is also helping to support and expand SSC's existing high performance training program, which includes:

• Research to develop advanced equipment for the sport, such as improved skate blades
• Top quality training centres located in Calgary, Montréal and Québec City
• Preferred ice time
• Leading coach and performance-enhancing teams of experts, such as physiotherapists, sports psychologists, and biomechanical engineers

Cypress Mountain

Bell is the Official Telecommunications Sponsor and Supplier of Cypress Mountain, the official freestyle skiing and snowboarding venue for the 2010 Winter Games.
